I grew up by the sea in beautiful North Devon and have always been inspired by nature. I did a degree in French and Spanish but then found myself drawn to publishing when I moved to London in my 20s. I worked as a children’s book editor and designer for Kingfisher Books, Frances Lincoln and Heinemann in London before having a family. I continued my art practice in life drawing and still life classes and in Hanley Art Club . I studied Fine Art at the City Lit and have shown my work at the Espacio Gallery in Brick Lane, Burgh House in Hampstead and Cheltenham Spring Gallery. I had my first solo exhibition in the lovely Queen’s Wood Café, Highgate, in 2024 and a joint show Colour and Clay in 2025 at The Gallery at the Playroom in London. My work is on show at the Annual Open Exhibition at the RWA in Bristol and I will be part of Highgate Art Fair in November 2025.

I am based in North London and work in my studio from home. I enjoy drawing from life and using my sketchbooks to inspire and motivate me. I often like painting still lives of flowers and ceramics in a loose and colourful way. I also like drawing more abstract images which are playful and dreamlike.

I like to draw every day and took part in The 100 Day Project in 2021 with flowers as my theme. Colour was my theme in 2022 and I have been exploring limited palettes.

I write from my studio each month in my “Studio Notes.” Please subscribe if you would like to know more about what inspires me and my studio practice.
