I grew up by the sea in beautiful North Devon and remember spending most of my time as a child walking in the countryside, on the beach or swimming in the sea. I moved to London in my 20s and worked as a children’s book editor and designer before having a family. I continued my art practice in life drawing and still life classes and in Hanley Art Group. I have shown my work at the Espacio Gallery in Brick Lane (as part of the City Lit Fine Art group show) and Burgh House in Hampstead as part of the group of fine artists I met at the City Lit. I have also shown my work in Crouch End Town Hall as part of Hanley Art Club group show https://hanleyartclub.co.uk/

I am based in North London and am a mixed media artist. I enjoy drawing from life and using my sketchbooks to inspire me. I often like painting still lives of flowers and ceramics in a loose and colourful way. I also like drawing more abstract images which are playful and dreamlike.

I like to draw every day and took part in the 100 day project last year with flowers as my theme. Colour is my theme this year and I have been exploring limited palettes.

This is my trusty assistant!
